Visitors

Back in February, my parents visited.  We had a busy week while they were here!  My dad hasn't been on a vacation in YEARS so we did it right.  We visited Disneyland

We hung out on the beach and the pier in Santa Monica:

Aren't they cute??  They just celebrated their 31st wedding Anniversary:

We went to Universal Studios:

We also went to Catalina Island.  A new experience for all of us!

While on Catalina, we took a glass-bottom boat tour.  That was a lot of fun!

Before they left for Minnesota, we ate at our favorite restaurant on the hill, Pomona Valley Mining Company:

(Liam got a little antsy before this picture -- that's why he has no socks!)  We had a great time and I am so glad my Dad could get away. 

More recently, my grandparents came to visit in April. 
We didn't run around as crazy as we did with my parents, but we had a fabulous time as well!  We visited Huntington Beach Pier.  A "Ruby's" Restaurant sits at the end of the pier.  Ruby's is a Fifty's style grill, a must stop!

The next day we went to the Huntington Library.  (Located near Pasadena)  The Huntington has beautiful gardens on the grounds.  The "tour" takes you from desert landscape to bamboo forests to rose, herb or statue gardens.  Really a neat place!

Then over the weekend Chad joined us and we all headed back out to Catalina!  We did a bus tour of the city, shopping and of course eating!  Avalon is a cool island city.

My grandpa asked me, "What is a C-h-u-r-r-o?"  I told him he had to try one!

Other than that, we spent a lot of time playing with Liam.   They also have friends in California that they had the chance to visit. 
During their stay, my roses started to bloom!

We love to have visitors!!  We get to see new things and have so much fun!  Liam is turning into a great little traveler.
